Why More Leaders are Launching Podcasts

The Rise of the B2B Creator

Hey friends,

Here’s a trend worth watching: Executives are becoming the new creators.

From CFOs to founders, more business leaders are stepping behind the mic, not to “build a brand,” but to build trust.

According to eMarketer, 81% of B2B marketers now have influencer budgets, and 53% said their budgets were growing.

The #1 driver of trust isn’t reach or production value—it’s credibility.

In other words: the most valuable currency in business today is earned attention and legitimate expertise.

Annnnd…how about that for a bridge to tell you that Episode 1 of my new podcast project, Slackers, is officially live? 😂

I built it with my longtime friend and fellow builder, Jonathan Sasse, and our goal was simple: to help make work better for people.

Each week, we trade lessons (and a few battle scars) from years in media, tech, and leadership; conversations about what’s working, what’s broken, and how to build better.

And if this trend has you thinking, “Maybe it’s time our company had a voice, too,” I can help.

Through JMedia, my creative strategy shop, I’ve helped dozens of creators and business leaders launch podcasts of their own — acting as a fractional media team to handle the heavy lifting, from concept to launch.

If that’s something you’ve been curious about, just hit reply; happy to help you think it through.

Thank you for being here on the other end, talk soon!
